Troubleshooting and Setup Instructions


  • Internet Explorer 9 or higher (IE 11 recommended for increased speed and performance)
  • Windows Vista or higher (Windows 8 desktop mode only)
  • Word 2003 or higher
  • Up-to-date patches for all software (Microsoft Update)
  • Antivirus and anti-spyware software highly recommended

Internet Explorer Setup:

Please note that only Internet Explorer is compatible with our system at this time.
  • Disable popup blocker.
  • Make sure *scribe.com is set as a trusted site by going to the log-in page and click the tools icon in the top right hand corner of Internet Explorer.  Click Internet Options.  Then click the Security tab and select Trusted Sites.  Then click the “Sites” button.  Click “Add” and then close.  Then click the OK button.
  • Enable Active X settings in Internet Explorer by clicking Tools (top right hand corner) – Internet Options – Security – Custom Settings. Scroll through and enable the Active X settings and then click “reset” and “yes”.

If Microsoft Word opens outside of Internet Explorer you will need to download the Microsoft fix.

  • For Microsoft Word 2010 Users: Click this link to Dropbox and download the appropriate fix.  You will be prompted to log in to Dropbox, but it is not necessary; simply close the login window. 

Scribe Mobile 2 iPhone Dictation App

Download the Scribe Mobile 2 app from your app store.


First, be sure that your device software is up to date (iOS update – “Settings > General > Software Update”).

Open the app store on your device and search “Scribe Mobile 2”.

Click the Scribe Mobile icon and click the App button to download.
